A thick, meaty chili with a little kick. This killer recipe is easy although has a bit of extra prep because of all the meats in it. You can adjust the heat temperature based on how much fresh habanero you add.
Five Meat Habanero Chili Ingredients
4 slices hickory-smoked bacon
pound ground beef
1 pound bulk pork sausage
pound cubed beef stew meat
1? cups chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 stalk celery, chopped
habanero pepper, seeded and minced, or to taste
large green bell pepper, chopped
large red bell pepper, chopped
1 (28 ounce) can tomato sauce
1? teaspoons ground cumin
2 cups cubed cooked chicken
3 (14.5 ounce) cans fire-roasted diced tomatoes, with juice
1 (15 ounce) can cannellini beans, rinsed and drained
1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
1 (15 ounce) can butter beans, rinsed and drained
salt and pepper to taste
cup sour cream
How to Make Five Meat Habanero Chili
Place the bacon in a large pot, and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain the bacon slices on a paper towel-lined plate. In the same pot, stir in the ground beef, sausage, and beef stew meat. Cook and stir until the ground meat is crumbly, evenly browned, and no longer pink. Drain and set meat aside in a bowl. Discard any excess grease.
Reduce heat to medium, then stir the onion, garlic, celery, habanero pepper, green bell pepper, and red bell pepper into the same large pot; cook and stir until the onion has softened and turned translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in the tomato sauce and cumin, then add the beef and sausage mixture, bacon, and chicken. Stir in the diced tomatoes, cannellini beans, pinto beans, and butter beans. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 2 hours. Serve with a dollop of sour cream.

Five Meat Habanero Chili Reviews
For chili lovers in the mood to try something different, this recipe is just the thing. It cooks up nice and thick, and I liked that the meat didnt upstage the beans. Becuase the only spice (apart from salt & pepper) is the cumin, all the meats were enhanced without being overpowered -- nice And the habanero provided just the right amount of kick. This dish was very popular when I served it tonight, and went great with the garlic bread I made to sop up the broth. This recipes definitely a keeper for me. Thanks
My finikie family that wasnt crazy about chili likes this recipe. also forgot the chicken but next time I will add. The other tip I added some extra tomato sauce and used a poblano pepper.
Great chili recipe. Giving 4 stars only because it needed a lot more kick - I used a whole habenero plus a jalepeno, and will add additional hot peppers next time. I also upped the garlic to 6 cloves, used 1 tbsp cumin, and added a dash of cayenne.
Absolutely the best chili Ive ever had. You can taste the different beans and meats instead of everything tasting the same. This is our new chili recipe; all others are out Thanks for an excellent recipe
Great chili. Very unique. Every bite was a surprise with what kind of meat youll get. The blend of beans this chili uses really sets it apart. I thought it could have used a little more spices though.
This made me myself it was so hot but overall this dish was awesome, just like the celtics
I made this for a family get together and it was a HUGE hit My husband liked it so much he took it to a work party and everyone was asking for the recipe I love that you can taste all the different ingredients. Definitely a keeper
...got to give this five stars...used lots of habanero peppers...didnt use the cooked chicken because i didnt have/forgot...better the next day and the next...everyone i shared this with loved the taste...thanks...
Delicious And very colorful I made this for my husband (who makes two of the best chilies ever), and he loved it I did cook it for 4 hours to make sure the stew meat was tender. Its an easy recipe, even for a not so good cook as myself I made it on Fri and we had it for dinner on Sat. Great recipe
I made this and it was quite tasty. I did change up some things I added carrots and pork sausage (link). I also didnt have habanero so I added 5 regular jalapenos. Yum
This chili was a hit I had to add an extra can of tomato sauce because it was a little dry. I also spiced it up a little more with a chili seasoning mix from Lawrys. This was my first attempt at making chili and I will be using this recipe again
Ok but a little bland. I added a chili seasoning packet to fix the problem. I used canned tomatoes with jalapenos. I used pinto, great northern and kidney beans (cant stand butter beans). I omitted the chicken only because we are on a tight budget right now and I saved the chicken for another meal. Overall, this is pretty good, but definitely nothing to write home about.
BEST Ever I am not a huge fan of chili- but this was the best I have ever had So worth the time My family and coworkers loved it too Thanks for sharing this one
Yummy Very unique recipe... relatively easy to make. Definitely a new favorite of mine. :-)
There is no seasoning in this chili? Very bland as written. I have never seen a chili recipe without at least chili powder in it?
This is the best chili I have ever had or made...I made it last year for a winter outing....I was told that I would be making it again this year...just love the different beans that are in this...cant wait till its done...
This was delicious Didnt even have 12 people over and every last bit of it got eaten up. I used a whole habanero plus some Franks Red Hot but next time Im upping the # of habaneros. I also nixed the chicken, used a whole package of bacon, and switched out 2 types of beans (I think you can pretty much choose whatever kind of beans you like and throw them in there). Will definitely be making this again
Very very good. One of the best
Made this for the second time (omitting chicken & adding 3 habeneros making it kicking) It was freakin AWESOMEMade a double batch for the Packers vs Bears game & it was the rave they devoured it I also put a chili rub on the steak & grilled it then cut it up & added it along with a couple of Anaheim peppers from the garden which I roasted on the grill since it was fired up & already going.
Good flavor...would give a higher rating but we found the texture a little mushy.
Best chili ever. I have made this 2 times and each time it is a Winner I add Jalapeno peppers because my husband really likes it spicy. Other than that no need to add anything I am thinking about using this for the next chili cook-off at work. Wish me Luck
Best ever, of course I used 2lbs of bacon. I mean what sane person wouldnt
AWESOME good I added more habaneros and some ghost chili sauce, but otherwise didnt mess with the recipe. If you like fire, this is for you
Very good. A little too much meat. Many opportunities to go one way or another for preference.
Really good minus onions had to add Chili Peppers the one habenero added little to no heat need more
The family really liked it. I highly recommend this. Its not your standard chili recipe. Great recipe.
